Paysage d’Hiver is a legendary one man raw atmospheric black metal band from Switzerland. Raw atmospheric black metal is by no means a new concept or idea, but Paysage D’Hiver is an artist that exists in a league of his own. Paysage D’Hiver’s music is densely layered. Every instrument is richly textured creating a wall of noise that is total aural bliss. The vocals act as instruments of their own, drifting in and out of the background. The ambient passages are superb and have the perfect blend of raw and clean sounds. This is great headphone music, or music to listen to in the dark letting the sounds engulf you and take you on a journey through the coldest winter night.
