Sect Pig is mysterious band from an unknown region. There has been speculation that it is James Read (Conqueror, Revenge…), and Tim Grieco of Antediluvian. To say it bluntly, I fucking love this record. This is easily one of my favorite releases of the year. Really bizarre band. What stands out the most about this album are the vocals. The vocals have this trippy phaser effect and are drowned in reverb, making them really disorienting and hallucinogenic. The instrumentation is repetitive and minimal, somewhat reminiscence of VON. The only way I can describe this record is if Beherit, Archgoat, and VON took a bunch of acid, had an orgy, and Sect Pig was the bastard child. Totally demented. You will either love this, or hate it. I don't think there is much of an in between.
