Ruin Lust is a death/black metal band from New York and shares members with California black metal band Fell Voices. Ruin Lust displays quite a bit of different influences. They have some death metal, they have some doom, they have black metal, they even have a dash of hardcore in there. Fear not, if you are like me and cannot stand anything even remotely hardcore influenced, this records is good enough and they are sparse enough to be ignored. One word could describe this album. VIOLENT. The aggression that can be felt on this album is overwhelming at times. It reminds me a lot of the Antediluvian demos, and the most recent Knelt Rote full length. Primal and malevolent. Recommended for fans of Antediluvian, Knelt Rote, Mitochondrion, Incantation, etc
